Dear colleagues,

First of all, I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to communicate with you. Let me introduce myself, my name is Boutzas Anastasios and I am a primary school teacher in Thessaloniki. My school is located in Filyro and has around 180 pupils. My school is twinned with a primary school in Cyprus and we have been working closely together through e- twinning in the last few years.

In January 2018, we applied for Erasmus KA1 but our project wasn’t approved due to lack of funds. Our national agency approved only 110 out of 400 projects. The budget available wasn’t enough for more.

The project, we recommended, is open and any of you can be the coordinator. It is very important to mention that the project deals with Europe, democracy and European values. It offers us an opportunity to work on stuff that our pupils have to deal with.

As a first step of our collaboration, I suggest the creation of a communication platform or space where we could analyze the whole process and the activities we are going to work on and also discuss on applying for KA2 Erasmus in February or March 2019. I estimate that it will be a fully cooperative project everyone will be proud of.

            As a cooperation space, I suggest a closed group on Facebook , a TwinSpace, a blog on the internet or anything else, the easier the better. Recommendations, by all of you on the way we have to work, will be necessary so as to analyze our project in the best possible way.

According to the suggested plan, each school has to work on the historical facts that led their country to freedom and democracy and as a result established the basic democratic and universal human values of contemporary Europe. Wars, revolutions, historical figures, inventions and of course art can be included. There is much to study and use.

I am sure, dear colleagues,  that we can all work effectively on this project. We can make recommendations so as to create the idea of this plan in the best possible way and influence through it our pupils, the future European citizens.
